as the title states, you get 5 wires in the box, i know that 4 of them plug in from the distributor to the spark plugs, i got that all done and in the right order,,,but what is the really short 5th one for???? i dont see any place for it

 

depending on what car you have that should be your coil wire. if you dont have an external coil you probably got sold the wrong wires.
