i gota 1991 integra ls with short ram intake.. i really want to make it Cold air but theres so much **** in the way.. if anyone could give me some hints to get all that metal out of the way id appreciate it.. i saw it done on some kids showcar so it is possible

I believe you're talking about the air intake resonator. To take it off, you have to first take off your bumper.

 

yea is the resonator the hole with wire going across it to block crap from getting sucked into my intake? i dont know cars too well yet im a newbie. sry i dont have any pictures right now but heres a picture or someone elses'. i dont think it will help but whatever. [IMG][/IMG]

 

 

there is like 4 bolts that hold the resonator on and your set. i dont know what else would be in the way. a cai made for a 91 teg would snake around the battery and wireharness.

 

directly under the intake its a little hole with wires going across it.. sorry if im too car stupid for everyone

I'll assume that you have remove the intake from the car already. The only part that may give you trouble tin the lower intake resonator. You MUST remove the lower intake resonator in order to put this intake in. To get the lower resonator out you'll have to pull the splash shield from under the car and push up on the resonator. It's just held in by friction, there are no screws. Just give it a good hit with the hammer and it should just pop out.
