This started yesterday, I start the car, and it starts making a weird noise. Like somethign is squeeling. It dont do it when its moving, but only when its like idling. I think I may be low on transmission oil and maybe my tranny is making that noise, or something. But I dont think the transsmission would make that noise. Any ideas?

 

Sounds like a belt squeeling to me... is it cold there? Might wanna tighten up the belts. If you rev it a little a couple of times when cold starting, does the squeeling stop?

 

If its a manual transmission it could be your throw out bearing..worth a check

 

My dad told me its etiher my belts or my water pump. But the car dont over heat, and when I rev it the sound goes away. I think my alternater belt is a little lose, I will mess wtih it tomorrow. But yea, its nothing major.

Why when you rev does the squeeling stop?

 

it spins the alternator fast, and the engine and the alternator both decelerate making the load on the belt easier...
