Default First time dyno...opinions.

3/30/05
Just got back from 3hrs. of work only...haha...and from the dyno.

Baseline(no tuning, no touching the motor)
185.5hp forgot torque...we forgot to printout the baseline.

After tuning All motor
201hp & 141.9tq

We tried to do the motor with nitrous and got one melted plug and a plug that flew like you wouldn't imagine!....the motor was still cool so we found two extra different plugs and just tried it. The #'s aren't too impressive but we'll see if we could try something else for the track.

#'s with nitrous (Bottle pressure at 800)
251hp & 213.8tq

I know there's a lot more with the nitrous so we'll see what it'll do at the track.

I forgot...all this was tuned with only VAFCII.
Tuned at CTR products in San Jose, CA (Chad Barber)

Set-up
LS/Vtec
B18A bottom end
Eagle Rods
Weisco Pistons (81.5 bore/11.5 compression)
Stock sleeves

GSR head
Milled 3thousands
Rev Valve springs & retainers
Blox Cams
Skunk2 manifold
94-95 prelude injectors(had no other choice...last minute thing)

Extra's
Jdm 4-1 headers(bolted up with exhaust during dyno)
digital 6
2 1/4 exhaust

I believe that's it.

Will try to post up Dyno graph as soon as i get a hold of a scanner.

We'll see what we can do. This motor is in my daily driver car so i'm expecting low 13's to high 12's all motor and hopefully 11's on Nitrous.

No head work.

Milled .030 i believe.

It's not bad #'s, We'll see what it'll do this weekend. If it doesn't rain.

Whats stage blox cams are you running, what degree settings did you end up with them, and is this where you made most of the power? Im asking because I want to see where most of the power is made in tuning. Thx.

And are your wiseco's the +5cc dome ones?

These were on Blox stage 2's.

I believe we made 201hp with the cam gears at 0,0. When we advanced the intake side we actually lost a little hp. (Not to sure what the problem was). It could be because of the milled head, but after that we changed out the plugs and tried nitrous. So i couldn't really answer your ?.

I'm not to sure on the dome #'s, but you can try looking on Wiseco's web site to see what 11.5 compression piston's dome is.

Thanks, so most of your power was made by timing and fuel changes. How do you like those blox cams? How many miles do you have on them?

We don't even have 1,000 miles on this new build! So far the Blox cams seems to be doing well. We'll see how it performs at CMI this weekend!

Sweet let us know, im building a similar setup for my 94 si, i have a b18a eagle rods, wiseco pistons, b16a head with RLZ engineering Stage 2 headwork, 98 USDM itr cams, rocket motorsports gen 2 valve springs and retainers. Im hoping to get 200 whp, but im thinking im going to need some bigger cams, i might be a little hard to hit 200 whp with the us itr cams.

Mid 12's?...Wow....i would be happy with just a high 12...haha...we'll see though.

You should be at 200. If you want cams...i recommend getting some blox...they're cheap and seems to make power
With a pair of cams, i'm pretty sure you'll get 200+.

Can't wait for CMI...*crossing fingers* hoping i don't dissapoint myself

Good luck to everyone who's going though...a lot of competition!

I am hoping, i really want some RM m22's. I think i shouldnt have a problem hitting 200 because my b16 right now runs like a bat out of hell and all i really have is the Headwork and itr cams.
