crank!!!!!!

Default crank!!!!!!

so i spun a rod bearing.... people told me that the crack might be f' up too... the question is, is the crank fixable? is it worth fixing? or is there something i can do better that might benefit me? what crank are good in an itr block..... im gonna upgrade my pistons to jdm itr pistons or ctr piston so im gonna do it all at the same time....

you could have your crank re polished and have them chamfer the oil holes, have it lightened and balanced, most of the time re polishing the crank honing the rods and a good blueprinted rebuild and balancing will fix it up, and it should run nice, any machine shop should be able to do this for you

If you actually spun a rod bearing(the bearing spun inside the rod),then the crank is most likely junk.Have a shop look at it.Only regrind a honda crank as a last resort.Your better off finding a good used one.When you regrind a honda crank you go thru the surface treatment and it should be re-nitrated.You looking at a couple hundred dollars and are limited to bearing sizing options.

Glenn</TD></TR></TABLE>if its junk what crank would be good for itr???? im planning to put jdm itr pistons in..... i heard the ls crank is good but not too sure... is ls crank and itr pistons a good combo to run?

Itr or gsr will work,gsr will be cheaper.Ls will require ls rods and will require oil squirters to be bent slightly or removed.Ls crank will give you a little more displacement.

whats the difference between an gsr and itr crank? pro's and con's?

GSR and ITR cranks are Identical. im not sure if the ITR has better balancing or what not. but non the less there pretty much the same.
