Is the skunk2 control arms a problem on the ITR?

have been reading some on the skunk2 control arms and some people show a problem with it poking up on lowered cars and denting the metal near the strut mount.
since the ITR already has a lowered suspension, would this affect it any or make it worse? or are the new skunk2 controls arms better and wont do that at all anymore?
I had ingalls style camber kits on my civic and i hated them after a while, they started to pop. i dont want to lower the teg until i straighten out the camber issue ahead of time- have to save the new tires

I had the new generation S2 Camber kit on my Si and it rubbed on the inner fender, don't know exactly what it was. However, no damage was caused to the shock tower. I think what you're referring to is people that dump their car 4" then fly over speed bumps really fast and then the control arm hits the shock tower. So as long as your car isn't REALLY low you should be fine with an S2 kit.

yea, didnt know if tracking the car would do any damage to it tho, hard cornering and such. what is everyone else using to correct the camber?
I have the skunk2 front arms on my R and have had no problems... no clearance issues and no slipping. The car is lowered and sees lots of track time.
I forgot more about hondas then you will ever know....

when installed/aligned correctly, you will have no issues.

thats good to hear, although, the guy i bought my springs from today showed me his bent skunk2 control arms.
used for one track event and one of the arms is already bent and slamming the top of the strut mount area.
it was a GSR, are the demensions the same on the GSR and the type r, or is there more clearance on the ITR?

i have some and they did hit the shock towers and i wasnt even lowered that much maybe like 1.5" from stock and it put dents under my hood
........ so i raised it back up to about stock height and have absolutely no problems
edit: i got the new design too

My ITR is lowered 3/4" (Mugen Lowdowns), and there have been no issues of any kind. I have the new version of the S2 upper control arms; run the car in trackday events and use Loc-tite on the bolts after an alignment.
I have dented my shock towers before, but just on one side... The is car is set-up correctly, just dont live in Detroit (pot hole city) or go flying off the track at high speeds a bunch of times.. Its the old style skunk2s...
