isnt a zc motor a dohc d16 non vtec?

Puts about the same power as the sohc vtec... but it isnt vtec... however its dohc

Ive seen jdm tegs with them... some tegs in japan have a 1600 dohc non vtec motor putting down near 130hp. This is in body styles 94- 2000 in jap.

Over here I think they came in the older gen integras like prior to 90
Im not sure how the years go for that gen integra... but its the model with the flip headlights

correct if im wrong...

cool
I guess the only option would be a sohc vtec head on the zc block.
zc pistons with a sohc head would yield a very high compression ratio... how ever the bore/stroke on the zc block is the same as the sohc vtec....

hence really its only the zc pistons that would gain u power from a combo like that

actually a d16y8 has 2hp less but 1 ftlbs tq more than the dohc zc does

with the zc piston the compression is bumped quite a bit.

i seriously dont think the sohc head will bolt up to the block but a zc head was put on a d15 block before https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1079426
