Default HELP!!! radio is not working properly

hey guys
i have a 2000 gsr and have a problem with my aftermarket radio... everything works until i turn on my parking lights/headlights... when i turn on my lights my radio turns off... but when my lights are off then it works... i have no idea what the problem is... to let you know it is a aftermarket radio from pioneer...

one question i have is if the radio illuminate wire from the factory harness which is red/black... is that supppose to connect to the remote system wire from the pioneer harness? if not then what is it suppose to connect to...

thanks for your help

Had the same prob. ....not with the same car though...*lol*

Question: So you used the old power wiring and everything to hook the aftermarket up, or did you try to wire it new.....dunno if you understand what I mean, but usually there's the connector that u usually just plug into the radio, or did you have to rewire that?

thanks for replying fcm... i got it to work... like both of us thought in the beginning the red/black illu wire should be left alone if there is not a illu wire from the pioneer... i disconnected illu wire from the remote wire... and everything worked fine... oddly enough i did this before and it didnt power up... maybe i didnt press the power button long enough on the pioneer HU???? i dont know but everything works now so im happy... thanks again fcm for your help
