Secondary Electric Oil Pump
I was wondering if its possible to install a secondary electric oil pump that could be used for a few seconds before turning on the engine to cut down on the startup wear and tear?
Do they make external oil pumps that could have an inlet tapped into the oil pan and then simply tapped into the system elsewhere?
Or is this something that would take way too much effort and involve checkvalves and pumping the oil through the oil filter and such?

its just a matter of tapping into the oil line and running
the pump in which it is a great idea...
not only that you also use a oil cooler inline.

saw it on a television show...
there is no need for a pump. just a primer that is hooked up to your oil supply line. every time you turn on the car, it charges the pump with about 2 qts of pressured oil. you lock it in the pump. when you turn off the car and come back the next day or what so ever, you release the primer or pump and it shoot about 2 qts of oil into your motor throught the existing oil supply line/jets.
yeah, just thought i'd share that. i will try to find out what it is called. alot of the top fuel v8 drag cars use this product.

yes but the actual thing here is to keep constant pressure not just a charge
when you start up....
here is another one I found
