axle price range?
Buddy has fucked axles/ axle bearings/ cv boots etc...you get the picture.
about how much is he looking at to get that fixed?
He has a bone stock EH...92 Civic CX I believe...any shops near the downey area
that are recommended??

he can fix it himself and pay for the axles. Autozone axles with lifetime warranties are roughly $60 per axle. If he can't do it, and pays a shop, their gonna charge quite a bit.
Usually about $300 a side to have a shop do it...
But it's really easy to do it yourself... even if you have to buy all the tools to do it yourself, you will still have money.
It takes me about 30 minutes to change an axle. Really easy once you have done it once!

do it yourself. search to find a how to. you'll need a axle nut socket and ball joint seperator (only special tools needed). both are loaner tools at autozone. once you know how, you'll laugh at paying someone $250 to do it.

I have changed them before but he is kinda like the friend that comes around when he needs stuff. I am going to maybe do it for him and make a few bucks to help out my Turbo Project..
