Default sounds like loose change in my motor...

My motor sounds like there is loose change up in it jingling around. I have replaced the dis cap and rotor and that didn't solve it so I figured it was loose valves but I adjusted them today and it still makes the damn noise. I was hoping someone on here would be able to help me figure out this problem.

thanks,
-Garrett

could be anything from loose exhaust heat-shields to major engine issues to a craked exhaust manifold.. the best thing you can do is to get an automotive stethiscope (about 12 bucks at a parts store) and start really listening for it. If its a water pump or accessory drive part they sound like ice being choped in a blender when the bearings go bad..

Check heat shield. After that.. crankshaft journal bearing (main bearing)

if it goes away when you press in the clutch pedal, it's your throwout or pilot bearing..... try that

to "fix" a loose valve is to get a valve adjustment job....
