Maintenance require light at 12,xxx miles?

Maintenance require light at 12,xxx miles?
The Main Req light began flashing at around 12,000 miles recently. It flashes for about 5 seconds and stops. Is this a reminder for oil change or something or is there cause for concern?

dont worry all it is, is a light that lets you know to change your oil...you can turn it off by pushing the blue button...i have the same thing and i cant find the damn button...il have to look at my owners or helms manual so i can find it again

Yup, second oil change is due - it's a GREEN button (at least mine is) to the right of the steering wheel underneath, your next one is at 20K or so
