Default Estimate for piping for my integra LS

Hey there guys, I finally have $100 saved up and I am wondering how much would 2 1/4 piping be? The full piping that is. I already have the muffler in but no piping that is why it sounds like ****. Can you guys give me an estimate before I go to the shop? Thanks a bunch

Why not 2.5 inch piping?

4 years ago I had a 2.25" exhaust made for my car at a local exhaust/brake/etc. shop. I brought them my muffler and they bent up a new exhaust and attached the muffler. It cost me $100. It doesn't exactly have the best flow because it's crush-bent opposed to mandrel bent like all aftermarket exhausts, but it's cheap and gets the job done.

Yea, thats how much it was for me to have them cut out the old exhaust, and bend and weld in new piping and attach my muffler.

sounds kinda rice, go to somthing like summit racing and buy the bends and straigts and have them welded. or save a bit more and buy an exhaust, on an all motor aplc. you will see no help and poss. loss from such a cheap setup.

How are you going to see a loss? The stock exhaust is just crush bent stuff anyways. This is larger diameter and you have a better flowing muffler. Plus it's alot cheaper than a stock replacement. You can't beat it if you're on a budget.

turbulance in an oversized pipe caused by crush bends. also there will be a loss of back pressure, more is not allways better the honda heads get their power by the way their heads breath. you couldsee no improvments. the stock exhaust was designed well, given there are rooms for improvement, but just wasting 100- bucks on some pipes that are the same as the ones you are removing seems to be redundent. if cost is an issue but manderal bends and have them installed. that is all i am saying, for the same money he can get manderal vs crush.

I currently want to upgrade to 2.5" on my teg, and my impression is to get the Mandrel Bent U-Bends from a local store or an online outlet that's a little cheaper, then let the muffler shop take on the rest. They should have straights along w/ hangers and etc, so just call around and do it like that, because Mandrel > Crushed and shouldn't be too much more expensive if you shop around. (1 u-bend = two 90 degree turns)
