I have a 98 honda accord. What possible reasons would my check engine light come on. Are there anything that i can do myself to check the engine to get this light to go off.

 

Follow the sticky at the 'basic guides to accord'. There's a post in there how to check your codes, or you can take it to auto zone and theyll do it for you.

Without the codes or a better description of the performance of your car, theres not much else to say.

 

yea go to kragen or autozone. they're gonna give you a scan tool(or they might do it for you). copy done the code and look it up where accordselux said it was
