Proper tuning and a good build is the key to reliability.

9 what?

could it be 9 min, 9 hour, 9whp, 9bhp, 9psi of boost, 9 birds or 9 seconds.

if it is timerelated(still talking about the 9), in relation to what?

maybe

9 min 1/4 mile?

9 second 1/8 mile?

9 hour mile?

haha..funny guys....Blows up as in blowing a motor apart....9's meaning i want to see 9 grand....but yah...i dont want to spend 1000 on a built block with out no sleeve and blow it...i have the head set up already...It's an LS block bored to 2L with forge piston yeildin 12.1 compression...so i thought the block itself would be kind of weak..

well you thought wrong the b20 is the weaker block with a sleeved ls you should have fun just change to some stronger rod bolts like from arp and you should be fine

the things is....the Ls block is not sleeved.....so i thought it would be pretty weak if it's bored out....fo and ls block...i knew b20 were easy to blow..cause i seen them blow left and right...but for a Ls bored to 2l's...worries me.

A stock LS sleeve bored to 84mm with 12:1 compression is by far stupid. The piston walls are way too weak and it wouldn't last. if the block were sleeved then it would be fine, but that much of an over bore on stock sleeves is past pushing the limits. -Jason

in another thread i asked this already, but since you mentioned. b20 tend to blow ?

i tought b20's where stronger due to the closed deck setup ? because people use them for mild boost apps i tought it might be a cheap/reliable setup for a destroked(87.2mm) frankenstein on juice(100-150shot maybe?) . that would spare me the costs of sleeving, boring and honing , any tougths on this one?

i'll just have to go the sleeve-route then, def alot safer and i can go 85-86mm . but deff alot more costly too. any opinions?
