after skunk2 mani install...car idle flys from 1500-2000 consistantly
after the skunk install the car idles really bad likes its going to die...but at around 1500-2000rpms...like its choking or something...really shaky...what can the prob be? ive searched but didnt find anything exactly that would solve it...tried all the stuff i found but didnt work...is it plugs or vacuum leak?
yea i checked the vacuum like a thousand times...used new oem gaskets on tb and im...i scraped the old gasket off pretty good...stil had barely anything left around the studs, thats it...there is no sound of leak...im thinking i might got the plugs wrong or something...tried reseting the ecu too, didnt work...check light comes on...i need help asap because im working on it right now...
okay...i think its leaking from the im gasket...i sprayed break cleaner on it and the outside seems like it sucks it up and idle changes like its burning the brake fluid...what i think mite be the problem is that there was still some old gasket on there...i didnt take every bit of it off b4 i put the new one on...i polished most of it off though there is only little around the studs where i couldnt get....could that be the prob....is it a good idea to use a liquid seal with the gasket after i take it all back apart?

i had the same problem when pyitr821 and I did my skunk2 IM install. I had a few problems at first....i used an itr throttle body gasket.....had to change that back to a gsr one, one of my sensors was plugged in the wrong locations, and i had leaks in my intake manifold gasket area..... once everything was fixed using the right parts/gaskets/plugged in the right locations, reset the ecu and everything worked perfectly!

chop my head off if its not a vaccum leak (including, gaskets leak, hose leaks, pcv leaks, brakebooster leak..)

This sounds like it's your problem. If you spray liquid on a vacuum leak the idle will change for the time that it's sucking up the leak. Also, you said you didn't get all the old gasket off so I would bet this is your problem. I would pull off the IM and either use heat or that liquid gasket remover that's sold in auto part stores to get it off. I used a propane torch and heated up the gasket. It made the gasket soft and I was able to easily get it off with a razor blade.

I wouldn't because you could take off aluminum off the head and make the mating surface uneven. The aluminum is very soft, you can easily gouge it with a razor blade if you aren't careful. They do make special rotary tools that are for removing gaskets though and they are fine.
got everything fixed...thanks guys...it was vacuum leak from the gasket and i had some plugs mixed up...works great now...i did feel improvement in performance also...had my ecu chipped for it...skunk2
