Need help ASAP, project is almost done
Heres the problem, my alternator won't charge. The power feed is hooked up correctly. I ran a wire from my ignition switch through a 10amp fuse and a bulb (as my charge light) to the alternator. I have power at the plug for the alternator, all that checks out fine.
Thinking I just misread the wiring diagram I quickly bugged that wire to each of the other 3 tails on the plug to see if i just mixed them up. Not the case.
My question is this: Does the alternator ground out the circuit through itself or does it have an output for the ecu and than grounds itself out through the ecu? I am no longer running my stock ecu so if that is where the circuit ends can i just put it to a chassis ground or is there something else i need to put inline?
Please help ASAP, this is the only thing stopping completion on my project.
