how many cranking amps required to start stock compression d16?

im needing to buy a very small battery for my budget race car and i need to know the minimum recommend cold cranking amps that will start the car or even some battery suggestions. My only requirements is that it retain the stock type posts/terminals.

I've heard of budget racers using motorcycle or lawnmower batteries, but im not sure if they have enough power to turn the car over..

I'll be using an alternator btw..

I'm guessing you will want something around this size -

Just leave it in the stock position, and the name is Odyssey PC 680MJ.

i cranked on my LS the other day with nothing but a motorcyle battery. It has 330 cold cranking amps...

that looks like it'll work... did you just unscrew the factory terminals and screw in post type? i looked on a couple websites and theyshow the terminals looking like ring terminals with screws to hold them on
