Default Anyone else had crappy service from kneedraggers.com ???

Here's the story:

On 2/18/2005 I order a new pilot sport front tire and scotts damper for my 929. I get an email that night stating that their distributor was closed for the day. I called them the next day and said that is fine I will wait the extra days. I receive the tire the following week, but no damper. I look at the receipt and it has the total amount I was billed ~550-575 (had a 10% off coupon) or so shipped but nothing about the damper. I then call them and they said they had it drop shipped from scotts on 2/23 and it is coming directly to my house. I said fine figured from california it is 5-6 days ground so I will give them a week. A week rolls by so I call again. The guy at kneedraggers says it's on its way from california be patient. It should be there between monday and wednesday.

I call again march 2nd and am told it is still on its way be patient. I call again on March 10th still same story. On March 16th I speak to another guy as I had been dealing with the same guy Matt I believe. Anyways this guy puts me on hold and calls Scotts. Appearantly they never got my order so they never shipped it. He said they would ship it out within the next two days as they were on backorder. I am then thinking okay beginning of next week I will get my stuff. Here monday the 28th and still nothing. I was going to call kneedraggers but that is literally useless as they seem to be too lazy to actually find out the status of my parts. I look on their website at my order status and it says they shipped it out 03/25/05. I tracked it via ups and it should be here later this week.

Here are the notes in my order status on their site:
Order Status:

Received 16:45 2005-02-18 emailed customer about not being able to reach supplier due to them being closed.-contacted Est. Ship 2005-02-28
Item2 PartNo: 1431267 Ordered 02/23/05 16:06 FL on PO16815

Item1 PartNo: SCOTS-3 Drop-Shipped 02/23/05 16:23 CA on PO16813

Shipped 02/28/2005
Item 2 shipped to shop 2-23-05 tracking # 1Z3AO78R12811298

Scotts Shipped 3/25 1Z9288160300623903

I have already paid my credit card bill for the item yet I have still not received it. I don't get it. I have spent over 2 grand with them in the last two years I guess they just dont want my business any more?

I guess I will be going elsewhere for my ohlins goodies.

Well, not getting the order to Scotts the first time is their bad, however, once they give Scotts the order, Kneedraggers is at their mercy as far as prompt shipping goes.

I ordered something from Kneedraggers yesterday and it's supposed to be at my place today, but that's because I am within one day shipping range and they had the part in stock.

I've ordered 3 different things from KneeDraggers and had good service. Not to mention that when I had to return something for size issues and the price had gone up, he gave me the old price nonetheless.
I'd say give em another chance, this is the first complaint I've ever heard about them.

Nobody's perfect. But they should've checked up on the order on the 1st call that the customer makes. Unfortunately, in most cases, the workers don't get paid well enough, due to customer's persistance on low prices, to actually give a ****. And unfortunately again, in most cases, high priced items lead to better service. That's life. But I think in general, you were just unlucky. You said yourself that you spent a couple grand with them in the past. I'm assuming they were hassle free transactions because apparently you ordered from them again. I have had customers that came back for years and would have one 'incident' with them and they'll never come back. **** happens. But what they should remember is all the great years of service that I've provided in the past. And like BrianSTi said, once the order's been put in, it's basically out of their hands.

Yeah I have had good experience with them in the past, no problems with my other orders.

Originally the order was supposed to be sent from Scotts to Kneedraggers, then from kneedraggers to me. So technically they were still responsible untill the product arrived at my home. Finally in the end instead of shipping from ca to kneedraggers, then to me they instructed scotts to ship directly to me. This is fine but at least they could have used expedited shipping since they screwed up the order in the first place.

When using a drop shipper or third party to distribute/ship your inventory it is up to them (kneedraggers) to take care of the customer. The thing that really chaps my a$$ is the fact that they took the time to enter notes into the system stating that the orders were placed with scotts and what po number, however when I called they put me on hold but obviously never contacted scotts. Otherwise they would have found out a month earlier that scotts never received the order.

ScareyH22A You said high priced items lead to better service. a 409 dollar damper and 116 dollar front tire is not high priced? I could see if I ordered a 5 dollar part and they took their time but a $500+ order????

Anyways...... I guess i will just have to sit and wait patiently. Maybe it will arrive this week.
