hey guys thanks in advance. i have a 88 crx and my car has a slight miss and you can really tell at low rpm in high gear at about 20% throttle
i have replaced with oem parts
plugs
wires
cap
rotor button
coil
and ignitor and i cant figure out the problem


i tried searching but with everyone it was one of these problems. let me know if you have any ideas

 

O2 Sensor?

 

Looks like you have covered
most all of the electrical stuff so how about fuel delivery?

Clogged fuel filter,
Clogged or "dead injector"..

 

Internal sensors of the dristributor might be going bad.

my distributor on my d16a6 was shot and it would predictably miss around 2200 rpm every time i drove it. replaced the distributor and problem fixed. ecu was throwing code 9.

He mentioned at a certain rpm, that would be happening throughout the entire rpm band. But do those things anyway for maintanence.

Also, do you have any codes?

 

yeah it cant hurt i figure. its not throwing any codes. my only other concern is the valves are pretty loud. could that be doing it if they need a good adjustment?

 

If your valvetrain is loud then you should probably just adjust the clearance which only takes about a half hour to do and if it doesn't fix the problem at least thats one less sound you have to hear from your car.

 

could the valvetrain be the problem tho?

 

lashed the valves not the problem and still dont know the problem~!

 

spark plugs/timing

 

already replaced the spark plugs and have redone the timing several times not the prob.

 

just replaced the injectors and fpr nothing...

 

do a compression check

my car did that when the headgasket was starting to blow.

 

thats the first thing i thougth so i changed the headgasket about 2000 miles ago and it didnt help
