ok i put a b18b swap in my hatch a while back, never really payed attention to what ecu i was using, since i pulled the whole swap out of a 94 teg and it ran fine before i assumed it ot be the stock ecu, well when hooking up my safc today i noticed that its a p72, which if im not an idiot is from a GSR, strange thing is, IM NOT THROWING ANY CEL's!? does this make sence to anyone? car has ran with this ecu in my car for 2 weeks, and in the car before for a few years at least, the engine runs really strong, how would the gsr maps affect the performance of the LS?
The only thing i dont understand is why im not throwing a check engine light? Im not throwing ANY cel's, engine runs great, but fuel cut is well into the 7k's and i thought it was lower on an ls ecu, so im stumped, why no check engine light for vtec or knock sensor??? should i get rid of this thing and get a obd1 ls ecu? Im afraid to d othat since thecar is running so good right now... Thanks in advance for your help guys, i just cant believe i didnt notice this sooner...
