everytime i accelerate/step on the gas, i hear a "ssssstttt" sound or that sound u would hear when u run out of paint from tha spray can n nothin but air comes out.... any ideas on what tha heck that is??

 

is your car turbo and do you have your bov(blow off valve) vented to the atmostphere??...does it sound like pressure being released?

Haha, that would be classic. Someone putting in a turbo and takes it around the block. After the first shift he hears a "psssshhhh", he looks around and says "what the hell was that".

Whats done to your car tho? My intake makes a very subtle bov release sound sometimes.

 

lmao.. NO.. i know what turbo is.. n i dont have it.. n its not a quick "sssttt" .. it continually makes that sound as i step on tha gas.. and im a SHE.. thank u very much


oh yea.. hah`.. i have some gay intake.. n i recently installed a stock exhaust.. runnin a stock cx motor..

 

Dude are u turbo or not maybee the last owner luft you some goodies

 

cold air intakes does this...i know mine did..made this slight spooling sound.... pretty nice though...

it would be the intake. i play with my throttle all the time to get the turbo spool sound.

 

Yea, mine does the same but only when I hit the throttle fast... If I baby it, it doesnt happen.

well i know aem cai cause this like hummin sound like "hummmm" with no pressin of the gas, but when i hit the gas i hear like, well to me it sounds like a supercharger sound but real low.. I get a nice sound out of my cai

 

maybe its an exhaust leak
