opinions on the best suspension set up for drag racing....
just wanted some opinions on some suspension setups for an all motor street class car. i would like to know what manufacturers some of you guys are using and how well its working for you. thanks
I love my Omnipower drag set up!!! 1000lbs springs in the back. Freinds tell me they dont see any bounce in the rear as I go down the track. Only thing is you feel every hairline crack in the street and its heavy on ur lower back.
dont mean to steal this thread but maybe you can chime in on my thread. i have the same suspension and need advice please. thank you.

Ive Spoon dampers and springs but for drag i place the front springs in the rear and loads of bumpstop. No play at all. Im cheap.
I want an omni drag coilover kit

currently using kyb adj struts with skunk2 drag coilovers with 400 lbs front & 500 lbs rear springs.....also using lakewood traction bar. new items for me this year, have yet gone to the track to see what my 60 ft time is.
thanks for the info guys! ive been debating on what suspension to get for our setup this year. its a toss up between the omni power suspension or tein super streets. i was thinking of even going with the strange engineering suspension but i hear they're on national back order and the price is somewhat steep. thanks for the info once again!

bang for buck, I am really liking the omni drag set up. When I first saw them I'll admit I was a little bit weary since they are non adjustable but after seeing a few cars run with them(and running them on personal/friends cars) they seem to do the job very well. I love the strange but I think it is too much adjustability for most people unless you have a good system for data collection you are really just making adjustments in the dark.
Strange Engineering w/ custom springs
The thing I dont like about the Omni stuff is the fact that you cant tune it. No 2 cars are a like, no 2 cars react the same off the line so every car is going to like slight differences here and there. Suspension tuning is just as important as engine tuning.

i think i may have found the suspension i was looking for. i have a friend that works in the edelbrock suspension r&d department and he is going to some custom valving on the coilovers that they sell for hondas. hopefully it works out. thanks for the help guys!

The edelbrock spring rates arent really for drag racing

my buddy that works there is going to re-valve the coilovers for a drag application. we are also going to be trying out a few different spring rates. this is truly going to be a prototype thing so we'll see how it works out. i should get the products in about a month or so.

Try using ground control (eibach) 700 rears and 500 fronts with koni adjustables. Ultimate drag race setup. The back isn't too stiff and isn't gonna squat when you launch.

Go 1000 in the rear and have the shocks revalved

You don't necessarily need a revalve for a drag application...With a 900-1000lb spring. The spring doesn't compress enough for a revalve to really do much...I'm sure it helps alittle, but most dont need it.
You want the spring and strut to work together, not have the spring do all the work.
Koni shelf stuff is intended more for use with 600 lb and lower spring rates which is why I recomended revalving.
