Removing rear seat to check fuel pump
I got a 88 civic hatchback and according to the service manual I need to remove the rear seat to check the fuel pump. Are there any short cuts to removing the rear seat to check this? I mean, do I have to remove the backs also? Any tips/shortcuts would be appreciated.
TIA

yes, you have to remove the back seat first, then remove the bottom seat. no short cuts, just do it right the first time and you wont have any problems. dont forget to remove your negative battery terminal first before messing with the fuel pump.

Its really easy to pull the seats in Civics, just a couple bolts and its off.

Yeah, I realized it as I was putting the gas tank back on...needless to say, I used some explitives to describe the situation.
