One thing about the Spec 2 is that it's not available in 15" sizes and only in 205's in 16". Which is probably one reason we don't hear a lot of reports on them.
I've heard that these are tires people buy primarily for their looks. I'm pretty sure you can get more performance for the money from other tires, based on a combination of comparison test results. There's a comparison test on the Tire Rack website, with these tires up against the Dunlop FM-901 and the BFGoodrich Scorcher; the Spec 2 was generally not as good as the FM-901 in the dry, but beat it in the wet. In another comparison test the FM-901 didn't do as well as the Kumho Supra 712, and in still another comparison test the Kumho Supra 712 was beaten (in every category) by the Yokohama AVS ES100. So therefore I would suspect that the ES100 is way better than the Spec 2. It would be better to see them both in the same test, though.
If the ES100 is indeed way better than the Spec 2 on both wet and dry pavement, then it's a safe bet that the Azenis is even better on dry pavement (since it's better than the ES100 on dry), but maybe not on wet pavement.
