I had Yokos before, didn't like them at all, really noisey when th tread wore down and tractions wasn't that great. The T1S are kick *** tires, they are a little pricey but well worth it, great wet and dry traction and they aren't that noisey.

i have the yoko es100 and so far i like them...
had them for about 4k miles.
low noise for me and good in rain too.
i have a set of brand new toyo t1-s 205/40/17 but i can't use them cuz i have 16's

My T1S's are noisy as hell after a few thousand miles!
But I've never had the Yoko's so I can't personally compare, but I do love my Toyo's!! Good wet and dry traction, snow though sucks, even a light dusting, so definately don't get caught of gaurd!

ive had both , i had 2 sets of t1s's and i have a set of es100's right now
the es100s are hella quiet , they have OK traction , and excellent tread wear.
i think overall the t1s are better cause they handle a hell of alot better than the es100's

Re: Yoko AVS ES100 vs. Toyo T1S (Peagreenhatch)
got es100's and as stated above, they are pretty quiet. As far as handling goes, i think these are great for street, but for autocross i would stick with the much stickier azenis. Treadwear is ok, not all that great though. But i suppose that's partly due to my inclination for negative camber. And wet weather driving is average for sport tires. 4/5 to me

I work at Discount Tire Co., and ive had the opportunity to ride both tires, the toyos will definitely hook up better, but the yokes will do a good job of that to, and will also provide you with a quieter ride and will perform better in turns. When I begin driving my car again next spring, i am putting a new set of avs's on right off the bat.

i'm running es100's and i like them a lot. treadware is high, they are sticky, they perform well in the rain, they are extremely quiet, and they are relatively cheap. i tested them out yesterday at the streets of willow, and they performed very nice, with minor slipping around hard corners. after 70 miles on the track, not much treadware was taken off. i give yokohama es100's
