First off, a D16Z6 is a VTEC motor, so you don't need to swap a VTEC head on it. If you can afford it, go with a B-series motor. It's a better foundation to start on IMO. Of course if you are on a budget, a Z6 is an excellent choice to start with.

How about you not go street/highway racing. If you do wanna go racing, take it to a track. And if you do go racing on the street, don't ******* kill anyone *******.

Answer to your question: If you have the money go B-series, if not get the mini-me done.
