Best Battery for my dc2?
I need to get a new battery for my 95 turbo dc2, just wondering what would be the best battery. Read a bunch of threads but there was so much mixed information. I heard of Optimas Red Tops, Odyssey's,or just anything cheap. I dont have a system or anythin like that. just cd deck, mbc, and turbotimer, so nothing taking major power. im just running some AC delco battery now, have had it for prob 2 years, it came with the car, doesnt seem to good.
Anybody have these batteries in their teg w/ good or bad experiences?

like i said i dont have many electronics running or anything like that, and i heard yellow tops are more for cars with big stereo's or power users.

I guess the question is what IS a decent battery? I've been having problems with my replacement battery that Honda says is a direct replacement (I think it's an Interstate but what do I know... it's rebadged no doubt), which I got last year.
Anyway, I've been having some draw problems and practically every day I have to charge it with my quick charger to get it to start until I get an inspection done on some other systems to see what's wrong.
I also was thinking about Optima, but what makes their battery so good? I did get a Die-Hard for the wife's car and it starts nice :D:D:D
-aoib0t, who is getting a little sick of starting his car with his quick charger everyday

yea I dont think i will get an optima battery, probably just go for DieHard or Odyssey or something like that. How much do these basic batteries run, $50US?

yea those batteries look decent, very small! anybody used a NRG racing battery? and where else can i get them from?
Also do u think those would be good for most weather, Im in Canada, anywhere from +35to-35C throughout the year.

i've always liked die hard, napa, and advanced auto parts batteries. most any batteries with a 2 or more yr free replacement warranty are pretty good. the oe cca rating is 410, so if you find one thats higher than that, like 435 cca or higher, than thats a good battery to get.
The cheapest one is about $54 but installed I think twas $70 something. They clean everything and did a nice job on my wife's car
She got the DieHard WeatherHandler® North because that was the only one that fit on her car.
-aoib0t, who will make a conclusion on his battery draw next week.

thanks for the replies. I'll prob just go down to napa or something and check some out, look for the one with the highest CCA and go for that one i guess.
Also are most lightweight race batteries sold at specialty shops only or are they at places like napa or autovalue?

we never sold lightweight batteries at my store, or any other auto parts store in my area that i know of. you probably hafta order them from somewhere, or go to a speed shop or something.
