Default Bolts with springs

Hey im trying to put my exhaust back onto my GSR and the bolts holding it to the header are all thats stopping me. Their 14mm bolts and they have springs on the cat side so it makes it really hard to get through far enough for the nut to thread on the other side. Does anyone know a trick to these bolts?

mmmm it all sounds so easy. I just can't quite push it far enough through to get the nut to thread. Even tried using C-clamps as spring compressors. No good.

everything should line up correctly if you've installed parts intended for your application. try unbolting the other end of the cat or b-pipe if it won't go. always install exhausts starting with the header end...

the only reason I even did it this way is because the bolts on the b pipe are siezed up. It was actually a short shifter install. I'll see if I can loosen something else up on the other end and slide it closer. Unfortunately I think the pipe is a little too short. The previous owner bought an ITR exhaust which was only made for the 2dr cause they never made a 4dr and he just had an extra two inches welded on. I think it just came up a little bit short, but we'll see what happens.
