ITR or GSR springs into a 93 EX coupe?
Yes, I have searched. I know that the ITR and GSR springs are compatible with the EG Civic Chassis (92-95). What I need to know is how much, if at all, each type of spring will lower/raise my vehicle.
My car is a 93 EX Coupe, bone stock except for a CTR strut brace. I would like to retain stock ride height (+/- .5 inches), but stiffen my springs by replacing them with ITR or GSR spings. I know the ITR springs lower the ITR about .75 inches compared to other integras.
Does anyone have experience running ITR or GSR springs in an EG civic? Pics welcome. Thanks.

They will raise your car, both the ITR and GSR, MUCH more than .5 inches. If you want a stiffer spring rate you should look into aftermarket springs and adjustable struts.
Thanks ICU and SOHC4life 96 for the prompt responses.
I have researched the coilover option for a couple months, and have decided it's not worth the $$ just yet. But I agree, quality coilovers ARE the way to go given unlimited funds.
SOHC4life 96, exactly how much would the ITR springs raise my vehicle? if they lower the ITR by .75 inches, and my vehicle weighs less, wouldn't my vehicle ride near its current stock height with the ITR springs? ITR weighs only a few hundred lbs. more than my vehicles........spread over four springs....should be near the same ride height, yes?
I am making this argument based on the assumption that the EG/GSR/ITR springs all have the same unsprung length. Is this assumption incorrect?

What ITR springs are you talking about? I'm assuming not the stock ones because they wouldn't drop a car they are meant to be put on. Either way, the spring rate is quite a bit higher on the integra so it would probably raise your car anywhere between a half an inch to an inch and a half. I'm not really sure what it would do, as I've never tried it.
I'd suggest you just save your money and buy a quality combo coilover or spring and strut. It may not be worth it now, but once you get the money it will.
All I did was install eibach lowering springs on my car and it handled better. Then I got a front upper strut bar and rear swaybar and I can take turns pretty quick.

Wheels in my brain still turning..has anyone actually done this? In theory, it seems like a good idea to me. Stock ride height with stiffer spring rates, and MUCH cheaper than coilovers or springs+shocks. Improved handling w/o having to deal with increased tire wear and camber issues. Someone please shout at me if I'm way off on this one.

you curious bastard! haha i understand what your saying, but it might be a little easier to go with just eibach pro-kits, i believe they could be had for 150 and keep the car at a stock looking height and with a stiffer spring rate.
i see your in san luis obispo, i'm located in so cal also, if you want eibach sportlines (integra) i got some and i'll give them to you for free, just come pick them up
i know it's the opposite of what your looking for but just giving you some options
PM me if you want them
