Default Fading CF hood.

I just got a CF hood off a H-T member and I was looking for the DIY thread on how to fix the fog/fade on a CF hood. If anyone could point me in teh right direction i'd really appreciate it.

..Yes I tried searching.

Paint it. It solves 2 problems: faded carbon fiber and lame-*** unmatched body panel coloring.

sooo... noone knows what thread i'm talking about?

you know the DIY one where it tells you how to make your faded CF hood shiny again. Not too sure as to the paint idea never really mentioned that I thought 1 sentence was enough.

3M Fine-Cut rubbing compound and a lot of rubbing, rubbing, rubbing and more rubbing.
worked better than wetsanding for me.

and the hood i worked on had a TON of oxidization.

the blue one

oh and getting it clear coated afterwards or even before would be a good idea, otherwise more than likely its just going to go back to looking like poop over a medium period of time.
