OT: Kenwood vs. Alpine vs. Pioneer
the reason im posting here is because the audio/video forum is dead.
which company makes the superior dvd player/ navigation system? i can spend about $5-6k to spend on the whole system (speakers, subs, dvd player, navigation). i can spend more if needed. im looking for the best system that my money can buy.

neither of them make good speakers or subs so dont waste your money on that but for dvd and navi i would get alpine. for subs and speakers i would get rockford but if u have money get jl for sure

for the dvd player, imo i think that kenwood systems looks so much better compared to alpine and pioneer. they are also the most expensive valued at 2800 for the top model and another 1500 for the navigation system. would the greater price make the kenwood system superior compared to alpine and pioneer?

I work at the national repair center for all 3 companies, so if you are worried about it ever breaking i would get a pioneer cause they have 2 year warranties on their premier products, so does kenwood on there excelon line, but there parts are only available for about 1-1 1/2 after production so most parts are NLA. Alpine service is only done through alpine unless out of warranty and in that case parts are big $$$. I would go with Pioneer
We also repair RF amps which are always worth repairing cause they are pretty much the best amps that we see in and out of our center. i dont have any experience with subs but i liked my room mates old JL W6s
