help or suggestions for this possible system setup.
ok..
i have an Alpine 9856 cd player. and an Alpine MRP-M450 amp currently hooked to an infinity 10.
i dont like it anymore.
so im looking to upgrade just about everything here... i'd prefer to keep it to Alpine with the exception of the sub.
so far i have picked out these: (have not purchased yet)
Alpine MRP-F450 amp to power:
-Alpine SPR-13s 5.25 component system
-Alpine SPR-57ls 5x7 component system
and then i would like to maybe use the Kicker VS12L5 (w/ the kicker box it comes in) w/ the ALpine MRP-m650.
this amp says it powers 400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms) so would i need to get the 2 ohm version of that kicker sub?
-should i have a capacitor on this too?
im trying my best to match the amp rms watts to the speaker rms watts...
what are you guys thoughts on this? am i going about it the right way? im looking for really good sound quality with some pretty good thump when i turn it up. do yall think this combo will work well together?
TIA.

oh.. i see... ok..
well no, im looking to upgrade my OEM speakers and keep them in thier OEM positions. thats all...
when looking for the speakers, it seemed to me that there wasnt as big a selection for 5.25 and 5x7s as there were for 6" speakers...

Well last time I worked on a si civic. the speakers were 61/2 up front and 6x9 in the back. Why not go that route? That would be simple r&r. Or for sq ditch the 6x9 and go componets, if you really want back speakers. Or go with kick pannels up front and don't worry about back speakers and have a good image front stage. Its up to you. You can get good sound running 61/2 up front and 6x9 in the back with a sub or two. Its all up yo your prefrence
well i was looking at 2 component sets.. 1 set up front and 1 set in the rear.
but i really want to keep them in their original locations.. all except for the rear tweeters if i was to use a component set in the rear.. i would obviously have to get creative on mounting.

the sizes are 6.5 in front, 6x9 in the back.
if i were you, instead of spending money on 2 sets of type r components, i would just get a nicer set of components up front and forget about the rear.
