Im building a LS VTEC. Its going to be my daily driver. Im using a GSR head, buddy club spec 3 cams, I/H/E, Skunk2 IM, Hondata S100 tuning. What I need help with is I cant seem to find any USDM ITR pistons .25mm oversize. Using those would put my CR at 11.0:1. I can find find the JDM ITR pistons .25mm oversize but that would buy my CR at 11.6:1 or 11.7:1. Do you guys think thats to high for a streetable setup?

 

you should be fine with that compression,but you will need some 93 or higher gas

 

Well there is 1 place in town that has 91 otherwise its just 90. Thats another thing I forgot to mention.

Youll be fine running 11.6-11.7 on 91,as long as its TUNED to run properly.My friends running p30s in his ls/vtec,on our crappy Az dilluted gas.Sure,it knocked at first,(very slightly at 5k)but after tuning that motor never made one ping,pop,or crackle.And was quite reliable.I say go for it,as long as your smart about tuning it,youll be a-ok!!!

 

I'm running an LSVTEC with CTR pistons and a PR3 head, I run stock timing on 93 pump.. ran fine on AZ 91 pimp before I brought her to NC. Compression is probably somewhere around 12.4:1
