Default car is puffing white smoke.. and leaking fluid a little?

ok 3 nights ago i went to a meet and when i got to the meet i notice a little bit of coolant under where the overflow tank is and today i had to go somehwere and had no choice but to drive mycar so i did and after i got off the freeway when i got to a long red light it smoked like crazy.. i was close to home so i just came home.

i jacked up the car but cant find a leak anywhere i see some coolant drop hanging from the overflow tank.. which btw is almost empty

now that the car is cooled i checked but i cant find any hoses that were leaking i have no idea where its leaking from or why its smoking up white..

can anyone help?

Sounds like a headgasket, is it overheating?

Check the oil cap for a white looking droplets.

u running a turbo? im having the same problem when slowing down after a little boost. And ya most people are just gonna tell u its the headgasket or water in your exhaust. When u put your hand at the end of the exhaust does it shoot out alot of moisture?

Burning oil will give you a blue tinted smoke. Excessive white smoke will be water (coolant). If you can't find any leaks, take it to a shop, and they'll find it. Good luck.

It sure sounds like the beginning of a head gasket job to me. It may not be that bad that it overheats yet. If you are definitely experiencing coolantloos s and have white smoke it woukld seem thatthe water is going through the engine.

Suppose you lost all of your coolant, your motor would overheat causeing long term damage. doesnt sound good does it?

JB weld is great. Holds up very well, my brother's radiator has been held together by JB weld for the past year.

You can get it at most auto parts stores. Your spring break is not ruined yet!

OK, but this still doesn't explain the white smoke out the back. You may have overheated and then damaged the head gasket too. I sure hope the only problem is just the radiator leak. I've soldered some radiators with great success, but if you are not sure, better to go to a radiator shop for an opinion. Good luck.
