the ge sandwich plate should go between the oil filter. the one end go from the plate and the other would go to the head.

Have you already had someone drill and tap the oil port into the head? If you don't feel comfortable enough drilling a new hole in the VTEC Head, take it to a machine shop. There are plenty of articles on this in magazines, and you can even read about it on E-Bay, and plenty about it can be read on the Honda-Tech forums.

Good luck, know anyone selling a VTEC Head? I have a B20b in my '96 Hatch, but no VTEC

the line going into the head is on the distributor side, just over from the intake mani. there's a brass fitting in there, and sometimes are a pain to take out, you might use a propane torch or something to heat it up if you need to. and you should only need the one line unless your turbo'd or somethin. oh and I think the dowell pins to line up the head are on the opposite side of a B20 block so you might have to drill the head a little for to fit those, and don't forget to tap and cap off the vtec oil line in the head or you'll have some problems. really its not hard, just takes time.
