drilled/slotted rotors with rust or dirt after long period of not driving?
well.. i only drive my car once or twice a week, i live on campus away from my house, and don't drive there. So my car is usually parked outside for a week. And when i come back my drilled and slotted rotors are usually covered in orange, looks a bit like rust. Do i just drive around and brake, and let it clean its self, or is that bad? is there a better way? can i clean it with some break cleaner, while not taking the whole rotor and calipers off? of is it nothing, and i shouldn't worry about it? advice, suggestions, help? thanks,
it happens all the time...as long as you keep driving once a week, you should be fine. it happens to my brembo blanks and i see it all the time on other cars..
i imagine if you left them sit for a year or some other long time the rust could really build up and **** something up tho..
