im not new to cars just transmissions

how do you tell if your trans has a lsd?

 

if you bought it from japan . . . no US accord came with an lsd

 

i am doing a 5speed swap and i had to buy a 5speed trany so i dont know where it came from

 

ok so the tranny is outside the car?

If yes, look through the hole and if you see a pin across, then you don't have LSD, but if you can see straight through the hole without anything interfering, then you have LSD.

If the tranny is in the car, then lift the front so that both front wheels are off the ground. Then turn one wheel and see how the other wheel turns. For example, if you have LSD and you turn the right front tire towards the front then the left front tire should spin towards the front as well.

He would most likely buy a used transmission, right? Then why couldn't he buy a used US transmission with a aftermarket LSD?

well get it before the tranny is in the car to cut down on labor costs.

 

Yeah, i got the H22A Tranny LSD, M2B4, there's a few codes that will tell you whether or not the tranny has lsd, just read the code. that could work
