Default weld magnums scuffing brakes?

Has anyone had an issue with magnums scuffiing the wheels lightly on the calipers when you spin them? I am talking lightly is there another brake that should be used or do you mill the caliper face to clear?

I had this problem, but it wasnt just scuffing them, it was definately hitting the callipers... At the time i took a grinder to the callipers to shave off some material, but i didnt want to go too far and wasnt able to make them clear, so i got a set of 1/4" wheel addapters and i dont have a problem any more...

Mike...

they fit on eg brakes... but if your running integra front callipers, they will rub a bit..

i run 1/4 inch spacers and they work well.. just dont forget to bring the spacers to the track with you!!!

I would think spacers would be bad at 150mph+ anyone else on this?

so this isn't a problem on stock EG brakes? I have a set but haven't used them yet.

They rubbed our EG brakes so we just took a grinder to them.

thats weird, I didn't have to grind on mine at all for the wheels to clear. And I think this is the guy that ended up with my old race car????

Yep that was the difference. I forgot you had bigger wheels.

Just grind them until they fit. Its no big deal its like a 10 minute job.

Yep carey I have your old car just picked up some slicks from joe and mounted them on the car the just barely scuff it doesn't affect the turning of the wheel at all it is just minorly touching. Been working on it alot just ordered a rear axle from the guy that built joe's. I look forward to meeting you some weekend at joe's place, It only takes 3 hrs to get there from when I am. I'll start listing pics soon for you.

this may be a dumb question, but why don't you want spacers? I used to have spacers on my bogarts
