Default header rattle

just installed a dc sports 4-1 header on my 2000 civic ex, now i get a REALLY BAD rattle. has anyone experienced this and does anyone know how to fix it? it seems like where the 4 tubes come together, underneath the transmission i believe, its kinda close could that be it?

Is ur compression springs on the two bolts connected to the catalytic converter on right? and did you tighten up the two bolts on the hanger underneath the car near the o2 sensor?

You don't need to switch out the donut gasket between the cat and the header....it should be fine...other than that..i dunno...

i didnt put in a donut gasket. the dc header had sort of a mesh/wire around the tip, but it looked all worn out. i bought it used. is that the gasket? do i need a new one? could the header be hitting the bottom of my transmission?

well i dont have an ek but i just installed a new header on my eg and i forgot on my stock header where the downpipe meets the cat there is a little ring that sits on the end of the header and when you insert/bolt it up to the cat it acts a space filler so you dont have exhaust leaks.

when i first did it i forgot it becuase it looks like its actually part of the stock header so when i installed it there was an exhaust leak and since there was a gap where the header inserts into the cat it rattled.

so look on your stock header and see if there is a little ring around it that you can remove but dont be rough with it because it is made of some softer metal stuff.

that is my guess i hope it helps sorry man!!

is there a space between the header and the cat? i kno its an obvious question..but maybe u can tightened the bolts alittle bit more and compress those springs tighter
