Default MAP sensor reporting boost when engine is off, & at WOT ?

my V-AFC says that my MAP sensor is reporting +0.08 when the car is at WOT, or when the ignition is off and the car is on.... is this normal?! I didn't think a MAP sensor could report boost, even if it was malfunctioning.

At idle, the MAP should read about .95V and at WOT it should be 2.8V (and it should also read 2.8V when the car is not running, but key is on). Typically if the ECU sees something above this voltage, it will set a CEL. The fact that your AFC is reporting a MAP voltage of .08V sounds like its disconnected, not reporting boost.

EDIT: Just having re-read, I assumed that .08 was a voltage reading. And also, the MAP can read boost, it will put out a voltage corresponding to the reading (but only so high in boost)...its the ECU that doesn't want to see boost.
