noisy cam gears!
B18c with JG cam gears (0.0). They tick sound like unadjusted valves but its the gears. They arent rubbing on plastic, they are tightened down properly, belt tension is proper.
Any idea's? Its been around 10k and i havent had any problems. Just kinda annoying. Its louder when the engine is cold.

gears are set o'o.. The bolts to hold them. I just tightened them good.
The valves need adjusting. But the noise isnt comming from the valves. No i cut the top half off my valve cover.

With no timing belt cover my stock cam gear OR my jg cam gear is loud. I always wondered why, I don't get it. Only thing I can think of is it's something else that just sounds like it's coming from that area...but it sure sounds like it is *shrug*
what you hear is the belt flapping around on teh front side and the gears rotating. With no cover on them it is very easy to hear all teh sounds being made on that side of the motor.
