Default Need help with AC removal

Alright guys i started to remove my ac and first off i have a few questions. What size wrench do i need to get off the top line that goes into the firewall? What do i need to do inside the car if anything once i have all of the system removed? What is the easiest way to get the line from in front of the radiator? I tried searching didn't get any useful results had the fourthgenhatch website bookmarked but i guess it must have went down. They had an excellent write up on it but now i cant even use it. Thanks a lot any info would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure on the wrench size, its pretty big though. I would say its bigger then a 17 or 19. Go out and buy some of these though.

Also for the front lines, take out the radiator or front bumper.

i believe, the line is a 22mm...for the inside all you have to do is disconnect the wiring harness and take out the box under the glove compartment....

Thanks guys, but which box is it there is one that has little snap clips (is that the one?) and it has two plugs into it sort of a bulky unit behind the glove box. Also can i get some more input on this before i remove my radiator to take this unit out. The line going in front of the radiator bothers me not sure if its better to attack it with the bumper off or from the bottom? About the lines as well i should of stated that i knew it was atleast 20 the bottom line i got off but its the top line that I need to remove but have to go to the store for bigger wrenches.

yeah, its the bulky box behind the glove box...for the condensor you have to take the bumper off to get it out...most of the stuff isnt to bad to get out...it took me about 2 hours total for everything...

Just do what me and 2point2 did. Grab a socket set ranging from 10mm-22mm and a wrench set also ranging from 10mm-20mm. Once you get the pully and mounts off just start going nuts jerking the piping back and forth untill it snaps. Then clean it up with some shears and you are good to go. I got like 2 extra HP LOL.

Depends on if your going to reuse the AC system or not.. If not then bolt cutters worked great for me..

Well i was able to get off everything after all with two pairs of channel locks. I was removing the system because it leaked but all your tips did help. I have the Craftsman 254 set and its great especially when you need wrenches above 20mm. Thanks for all the help guys, as i was doing the ac removal i was also doing a header install. Which was fun since i at no matter what cost didn't want to have to modify my front traction bar but i finally got it in.
