question about Fenders....
Hey guys ive been tying to get some new fenders and when i was on rock-auto.com, i came accross 2 types of fenders....RH and LH Front assey, and the CAPA CERTIFIED LH and RH Front assey....what is the difference between the certified ones and the other ones?
CAPA certified means that a CAPA inspector has checked out the part and has deemed it to be within OEM tolerances. So basically, you are paying for the piece-of-mind of having a part that will fit. It's worth the extra cash, if you get the other one you MIGHT get it within specs, but there is no guarantee.
Both parts are made in China/Taiwan, but the CAPA one WILL be to spec.
My wife's wrecked EJ6 has CAPA hood, bumper and Driver's fender and they fit great, saved a bunch of money off dealer parts too!
