NEED HELP!!!! trunk bar wont go in
alright guys i have a strong bar going into my eg aka trunk bar but this set up uses all 4 bolts in the trunk near the hathc on a 92 hb..... i took of all 4 and started to put the bar in i got 2 of the bolts on the right side but the left side wont go in......... an anyone help? any suggestion on what i should do to make them work
try turning the bar around, sometimes it will only fit one way, or try getting both sides on at the same time..sometimes one side at atime doesnt leave enough clearance to get the opposite side on...
So this would be a shock tower bar, I beleive?
If you tightened down the bolts on the one side before threading the others, that could be your problem. Just get all 4 threads started, then tighten each one a little at a time to make sure it's ligned up correctly.

I heard when you're installing bars, you SHOULDN'T jack up the car, but in this case, go ahead and jack your car up off the ground and try installing it.

I think you're confusing 'trunk' bar with a sway bar. People say that so there won't be any pre-load; but I have no idea how they install a bar under the car with it jacked up. If your endlinks are adjustable, preload can be adjusted anyway.
If he was to take the tophat nuts off, then jack the car up, the shocks would drop out and be a major PITA; not to mention, this would not help the install any.

when i made mine (dc) the bolts will only go in if they are EXACTLY at a 90 degree angle (the bolt and chasis) that could be a problem
