Turned the ignition on the car to start it and momentarily it fired and then shut off.
I presumed it to be trouble with the recently replaced main relay, so I stuck my hand under the dash to jiggle the harness. This usually fixes the problem and the fuel pump comes on and all is good. This time it didn't work.
I went under the hood to pull the fuse and reset The ECU. I also noticed that the fuse next to it (labeled as stoplight) was blown. I turned the ignition on and didn't hear the whine of the fuel pump so I replaced the blown fuse.
With the fuse replace all the idiot lights light up in the panel but I get no response when I turn the key. I removed the fuse and now the starter will respond to the ignition switch but the ECU shows no life at all.

Just a few seconds before all this the engine was running.

Anybody have any ideas?

 

If you have to wiggle your main realy to start your car that usually means that your relay is going bad

 

The relay has been replaced. I usually jiggle the wire harness for a response. Somebody has gotten into a large bus in the harness.
I had to do some repair to it when I got the car.
It was the result of a butchered stereo installation.
Why do all the idiot lights light up when I put in a fuse labeled for the stoplights?
