b18c1 knock sensor

would it effect my vtec if i dont have that hooked up?

Hook it up, it's there for a reason... It's only a single wire anyways, should take more than 5 minutes.

Not at all. No, it will not run "shitty" without it either. It doesn't even do anything past 5,000rpms anyways, its ignored.

Its there simply to protect against people getting either the wrong grade of fuel, or a bad tank of gas. It helps to control low rpm high load detonation. If you run good gas and have a decent tune, there really isn't any reason to worry about having it hooked up or not.
