go for it, better than having a hydrolocked motor. you'll noticed the torque difference also. go to all motor classified, theres tons of thread in there about your setup.

I hear the b20's have issues revving high (above 8k). Don't know if that's an issue for you or not. You'll get a hell of a lot more torque though.

Well The shop told me that also and they would replace the part that causes the issues with high reving with aftermarket so it wouldnt be a problem. And the shop is the same shop i had switch out the motor i have arleady but they goofed on it and are willing to make things right.

i heard that it is kinda expensive but once its done and everything runs good the motor is insane.

theres a guy that lives round me and his b20 block/ b16 head set up runs low 13's
i dont know what bolt ons he has but i know its not much..

if i had the money and time i would go for it as well

From what I heard the crank is why it can't rev high. That's not cheap to replace. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You'll deff. notice a difference all the way around, as far as starting on a good foot I had je(10.5) pistons put in and arp all the way around top and bottom, a good oil line conv. kit, cam gears, and a good header and intake mani. Also if you haven't already get a high output fuel pump(walbro) and some good injectors( i used rc 330's) that should give you a good platform to build on good luck I have had my B20 for a lil over a year and have had the head swap and it built for like 3 or 4 months and i love it. Good luck w/ whatever you do. Lr8

Yeah, it was just something I heard. With the rod/stroke ratio, wouldn't you make most of your power below 8500? Sorry, I don't know much about the swap, and one of my friends just picked up a B20 for his sol. I'm an H22 guy myself, so I don't know shi* about revving past 8k.

Ok,i just read that your going to have the shop that sold you that POS b16 install a b20 block for you? ROFL,i can see the post now"What happened to my CRVTEC?" Let an EXPIERENCED,KNOWLEDGABLE honda oriented shop,or even someone from this site,do the work for you.Odds are that p[lace will **** somehting up and itll pop or just flat out run like ***.I dont care HOW bad they are trying to make up for the POS b16,get your $$ back,or have them refund 3500 of your cash, and have someone here who knows what the hell they are doing work on your car.As old as that thing is,i personally wouldnt even use the damn head on a CRVTEC without a full rebuild..But hey thats just me,and NOTHING half assed would go in my baby.

Hmm.. Okay Say i have this guy pay for all the parts to build my crVTEC if anyone can point me in a direction to who can do the work and for how much. Or if someone in the area would be willing to do this with me let me know. im very open for any suggestions. Also he would use my B16a2 head off my hydrolocked motor on the hybrid.. Not the 1990 head.

I am also currious about this same swap as i have a B16a2

What is all need or involved to complete this swap and have it run properly?

don't mean to thread steal but i figured it would be better to get information rather than posting the same question again

if you put a b20 block in it and rev bast 8 it wont last more than a few months the 85'mm cylinderwalls can not handel it,the only way to rev it that hi safely is to get it sleeved, its not teh rod stroke ratio,or the crank, primarily teh cylinder walls and rods.a ls can handel more rpm because it has 82'mm pistons thus meaning that the stock sleevs are stronger.b20 and ls have same rods and crank and stroke ratio.
