Default How can I do this?

I have to modify my distributor a little bit to get the ingition timing set. I cant turn the distributor anymore, and t he timing is still a little advanced. I think this is why my VTEC is not working, whats a good way to modify the dizzy?

dremel the hole out. that's what you have to do to get an a6 dist. on the z6. i've got a link if you want it.

i assume you are using the correct dist. for your car so you won't need to hack yours up like this but i'm just showing you that it will effectively remove the metal. just burr the holes out in the direction needed.

his timing must be off a little bit. you should really adjust the timing instead of mauling the dist.

then why are you going to hack up your distributor? Adjust your timing from the cam gear then...

i dunno? it just is? haha, im using a z6 cam in my y8 head, and i have to advance the cam gear 9 degress for it to be correct (it runs the BEST when its like this) and since the gear is advanced 9 degress it throws off the ignition timing a little bit....

9 degrees for what to be correct ? Is everything lined up at tdc ? It sounds like you have another problem else where.
