Del Sol purchase tips
one BIG tip that I wish I knew was removing that plastic(?) lip around the rear wheel wells... you'll see it. It's a black piece right above the rear tires that goes over the lip. A lot of moist dirt builds up there which forms rust.
Also, check the outer edge of the door jambs. Look at the car with the doors closed. The little space between the door and the quarter fender is normally plugged off by painters using a foam tape. When you open the car doors run your finger along that area (am I making sense so far?). If the paint is rough from top to bottom, then the car has been repainted before. It's a good tell-tale sign, apart from other little things.

Making sense and a lot more info than I've got before...
Just want to be sure not to buy somethinbg I won't be happy bout after. And as I am a girl, guys that sell em try just bout everything....know my civics and stuff, but haven't gotten into the sol to deep yet.

also check all the gaps between the fenders and doors.doors and rear quarter panel. Look at the core support around the headlights to make sure there no signs of an accident. Also drive it make sure its tight.Good luck

The 94 models they had a recall on the tops leaking bad (i can vouch for that one)...apparently it was fixed in 95 but i dunno
i like the look of the 93-95 models with the extra aux lights. I wish i would have got a 95 vtec instead of a 94 si though. The si has vtec, it's just sohc vs the vtec trim which is dohc.

that was fucken gay!
IM me if u have any question's. You have a lot to learn before u can go out and look at a car and tell if its good stuff or trash. need to see if it burns or uses any oils, take it for a drive see how it shifts and what not. also check cv boots inside the front wheels. turn the wheel all the way to one side then look under the car inside the wheel and see if the boot is torn or cracked. also, look and inspect the motor for any OIL leaks or any wierd sounds with the car on and the hood open. If the car's motor and body has been taken car of it can last your up to 300,000 miles.
if the oil was changed regulary i wouldnt be worried about the miles, until after 150k. u got any guys that know anything about cars, that could go with you and check it out?

it doesnt make sense to get anything other than VTEC...id buy a shell of a sol before i would buy an S....and Si maybe cause it has power options and better brakes. but thats just my opinion.

maybe it is a girl who just wants the car for looks, and she doesn't need vtec, anyways she is probably smart enough to know that the SOHC vtec isnt even that big of a deal. and not a waste of her money.

i second that. Course i got some of 8500k bulbs that're bluish looking and the auxs are a brownish color, so now i leave the aux's off. I miss them too cause it looked cooler with them on and the 8500ks dont provide a whole lot of light
